A single cupcake at Kelly’s could make any gluten-addict turn gluten-free. Seriously.
I picked up a box of cupcakes for my gluten-free friend and took home a few for my cupcake-crazy daughter and I to test out. We couldn’t even hold out till dessert time. I assure you that you will never know these delicious treats are 100% guilt-free with no gluten, peanuts, artificial colours, or dairy. This mother-daughter team sure knows how to “bake you happy” (their slogan, not mine!)
What to bite?
You MUST try a cupcake. They serve standards everyday such as red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, but on special occasions (like Valentines or Christmas), their creations get even more amazing! We tried “candycane”, a chocolate cake with mint (dairy free) buttercream icing sprinkled with crushed candycanes. Another fav is Chocolate orange, which is essentially a Terry’s Chocolate Orange in cupcake form – amazing! Each day they have daily special cupcakes so you could go all week and indulge in a different cupcake each day!
They also serve a variety of cookies, brownies, muffins, scones, cakes, cookie sandwiches (yes, you read that right) and if you don’t have a good reason to get married anytime soon, I can give you one….they even cater weddings (and custom orders if you have a lower-key event!)

Kelly’s serves up fair trade coffee with dairy-free options to stay in or take out.
Why I love it?
Incredibly friendly staff. When I stopped in, the staff took the time to explain the selection to me and I didn’t feel at all rushed despite the growing line behind me. Warm cozy inside, and lights up the bustling street with trendy outside decor. Located in the downtown core of Burlington, they offer a few spots to sit in and enjoy on a break from shopping at nearby boutiques, or take your treats to go in beautiful cupcake-friendly boxes. If you give them 48 hours notice, they’ll bake up a custom order for your event (think girls night!).
